Where are meetings? Can we meet remotely?
At Abacus, we believe great financial advice starts with a personal connection. We’re always happy to meet you face to face — either at our offices in Tewkesbury or in the comfort of your own home. After the initial meeting, follow-ups can be done remotely via Zoom or Teams if that’s more convenient. We hope to build a long-term relationship with you, so we’d love to welcome you in person at least every couple of years if possible.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available at our offices. If you need accessible parking or any special arrangements, just let us know in advance — we’ll be happy to help.
Is the initial meeting free?
Yes, your first meeting is offered at no cost to you. It’s a chance for us to learn about your goals and for you to get to know us, with no pressure or obligation. If we believe we can offer real value, we’ll let you know. If not, we’ll be honest about that too.
How long does the first meeting take?
Allow around one hour. That usually gives us enough time for a meaningful conversation about your financial situation and future goals, and to explain how we can help.
Do I have to commit to your services at the first meeting?
Not at all. There’s no obligation to move forward straight away. We encourage you to take your time and make a decision when you’re ready.
How much do you charge for a financial plan?
Our fees vary depending on your needs and the level of advice required. Before we begin any work, we’ll explain all charges clearly so there are no surprises.
Is there a minimum level of assets required to work with you?
We don’t set a fixed minimum for assets, but our services are typically best suited to individuals, couples, and families with £100,000 or more in investable assets, or those with complex planning needs. If we feel we’re not the right fit for your situation, we’ll always let you know — and where possible, point you in the right direction.
Are you independent advisers?
Yes, we are fully independent. That means we’re free to recommend the best options for your unique situation — without any ties to specific providers or products.
Are you regulated?
